ability to make you
quit now nor am I suggesting that you are now ready to quit and
become a non-smoker. What I am suggesting is that you, having
thought about it and, if fact, made that decision, have made the
right choice and I, as a hypnotherapist and practitioner of NLP
can and will support you in making your decision a successful

"Hypnotic Steps to a Smoke Free
Life"
Details.
Step 1.
In your
initial session, you will learn about hypnosis and
Neuro-Linguistic Programming and how you will use these tools
to fulfill your intention to become a non smoker. We will then
spend time getting to know about your past smoking habit; your
past motivation to smoke, your current motivation to quit,
identify any emotional or physical obstacles that you need to
let go of, and help you gain a clear understanding as to your
future life as a non smoker. Having
obtained that new insight and understanding, you will choose a
specific date that is right for you to start your life as a
non-smoker. This could be a few days or a few weeks; just as
long as you know it’s the right choice for you. After all, who
knows better than you? We will schedule that day for your
second step and the new beginning of your smoke free
life!
Prior to
that appointment, you will have agreed to remove all smoking
accessories (lighters, ashtrays, cigarettes, etc) that you
identify as obstacles to your intention to become a non-smoker
as well as fill out a worksheet documenting your past smoking
habits over a 7 Day period. Prior to
ending the first session, we will use a powerful technique
called NLP to integrate any conflicting thoughts or feelings
that you might have about your past relationship with
cigarettes and your desire to let go of the habit for
life. I will
then guide you gently into a state of hypnosis that will
prepare, motivate, and move you toward your new life as a
non-smoker. You will be provided a CD recording of this session
that you will listen to at least once daily prior to next
appointment. Having listened repeatedly, you may already begin
noticing changes that will anchor your desire to quit
now.
Step
2.
Welcome to
your smoke free life! If you haven’t already quit now (yes it
happens) you are definitely ready for your first day as a
non-smoker! After a brief intake which we evaluate your current
level of commitment, we will use NLP to anchor any new
resources that you think or feel you need to support you in
your choice to be a non-smoker. We will then, using your own
personalized worksheet as a guide, use a powerful NLP technique
that will blow away all your past association with cigarettes
followed by an empowering hypnosis session establishing your
life as a non-smoker. You will be provided a CD recording of
this session that you will listen to at least once a day for
three weeks prior to your follow up appointment, step
3!
Step
3.
This very important session will provide you the lifelong tools
for change in the areas of diet and exercise. After a short
intake I will take you on a hypnotic journey of your choice
where you will learn on an unconscious level the new thoughts,
feelings, sensations, and behaviors that will help you make
healthy food choices and create a desire to exercise and live a
healthier and fulfilling life. You will be provided a CD
recording of this session that you will listen to at least once
a day for three weeks and then as needed to reinforce your new
learning’s.
Step 4.
A
personalized reinforcement session at 4 - 6 months to help you
anchor your life as a nonsmoker!
What can you look
forward to as a
non-smoker?
-
You smell
better, your teeth become whiter, and your own sense of
smell begins to improve so you can begin to enjoy your
favorite smells and the taste of healthy
food.

20 minutes
after you stop smoking: Your blood pressure drops to a
level close to that before the last cigarette. The
temperature of your hands and feet increases to normal.
Your pulse rate
drops.

8 hours after
quitting: The carbon monoxide level in your blood drops to
normal. The oxygen level in your blood returns to
normal.

24 hours after
quitting: Your chance of a heart attack
decreases.
-
48 hours after
quitting: nerve endings start to re-grow. Your ability to
smell and taste is
enhanced.

2 weeks to 3
months after quitting: Your circulation improves and your
lungs perform up to 30 percent better. Walking becomes
easier.

1 to 9 months
after quitting: Coughing, sinus congestion, fatigue, and
shortness of breath decrease; cilia (tiny hair like
structures that move mucus out of the lungs) regain normal
function in the lungs, increasing the ability to handle
mucus, clean the lungs, and reduce
infection.

1 year after
quitting: The excess risk of coronary heart disease is half
that of a smoker's.

5 to 15 years
after quitting: Your stroke risk is reduced to that of a
nonsmoker.

10 years after
quitting: The lung cancer death rate is 50 percent lower
than it is for continuing smokers. The risk of cancer of
the mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, kidney, and pancreas
also decreases. The risk of ulcer
decreases.

15 years after
quitting: The risk of coronary heart disease is that of a
nonsmoker's. The risk of death returns to nearly the level
of people who have never
smoked.
