Who am
I?
Born in North
Platte Nebraska in 1964, I was raised from the age of three in
Kansas. I spent most of my childhood growing up in the small
town of Valley Center,
just 8 miles North of Wichita. I am the only boy of 4
children. I have two older
sisters (one of which has passed) and a
sister 9 years
younger. My
favorite subjects in high school were life sciences and music. I played
several musical instruments and was an active member of the
high school band. When not at school, I spent most of my spare
time fishing, walking the railroad
tracks, and sitting with friends on
tops of rail cars staring
up at the sky contemplating the wonders of the Universe. I
was an active member of the Boy Scouts and spent at least one
weekend a month camping. The rest of my time was spent walking
the slopes of the Arkansas River Valley collecting Indian
artifacts and mapping archaeological sites.
Upon
graduating from high school in 1983, I entered college shortly
thereafter in 1985. My
main areas of interest were
Archaeology and
Psychology. I worked my way through
college supported by the aircraft manufacturing
industry, the largest industry in Wichita. My many years
of 'part time college full time work' experience
culminated finally in a degree in 2000. I spent several
more years working as a production manager for an
aircraft manufacturing company while attending and
receiving my certificate of massage at two different
schools, before experiencing what I call "Divine
Discontent". That is, not following my true calling and a
spiritual longing to go inside and make the changes
necessary to live the life I was born to
have.

Archaeology of the
mind
Having spent time over the
years in traditional
counseling and therapy exploring and
working on my
own wounds, I grew tired of "digging up artifacts,
assembling the pieces, and still not ever having a
complete vessel". I was led by chance to a Coach,
hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner who helped me gather
the artifacts of the past, the beliefs about my life and
who I was, and
dispose of those that no longer served me and then build
upon those that did. I learned that I was better off and
got much better results focusing on what I wanted as
opposed to what I didn't. Having broken out of the old
patterns, I left my job in Wichita and moved to Portland
in 2003, where I attended New West Seminary and started a
new life for myself.
It was here in Portland,
shortly after arriving, that I got some of the hardest to hear
but best advice I have ever received. A person
asked me, as I was
launching in to the 'old' story about my life and limitations:
"Daniel, are you ready to tell this story for the last time?
Because, if you are going to essentially make up a story about
your life, why don't you make up a story about the life you
WANT to have". Ouch. That hurt, but she was right.
So now, let me ask
you.
Are you
ready to tell your old story for the last
time?

Are you ready to write a new story
about your life, with the new thoughts, the new beliefs,
the new sensations, and the new behaviours that support
the life you want to
have?
If you answered yes,
I can help you let go of the past
and step fully in to who you really are and in to the life
you WANT
to have.
